Company news · Seed round ·

Panta raises $6M to build better commercial insurance infrastructure.

A seed round backed by Y Combinator and Robinhood Ventures.

We are continuing to build a commercial insurance brokerage where technology handles more of the coordination and licensed brokers remain responsible for the judgment.

Today, we are sharing that Panta has raised a $6 million seed round, with backing from Y Combinator and Robinhood Ventures.

We are grateful for the support. But a funding announcement is not proof that the job is done. It gives us more time, capacity, and responsibility to keep doing the work.

That work starts with a simple problem: commercial insurance is essential infrastructure, but getting and servicing coverage can still feel disconnected from the way a business actually operates.

A contractor may need evidence of insurance before a job can begin. A transportation company may need to add a vehicle without slowing down its operation. A manufacturer may have several parties asking for different documents and coverage details. In each case, the insurance work is attached to something real that needs to move.

Too often, the process becomes a long chain of applications, PDFs, emails, follow-ups, and repeated questions. The same business information is collected more than once. Important context gets scattered across systems. Brokers spend time coordinating work that software should be able to handle, while business owners wait for an answer.

What is Panta?

Technology for the coordination. Licensed brokers for the judgment.

Panta is a commercial insurance brokerage that combines technology-enabled workflows with licensed brokers. Its systems help organize submissions, documents, follow-ups, and service work while brokers remain accountable for understanding each risk and evaluating available coverage options.

Building around the work insurance actually requires

Commercial insurance is not one form or one transaction. It is a chain of judgment calls, documents, carrier conversations, and follow-ups. We are building the operational layer that helps licensed brokers move that chain forward with greater clarity.

Technology should take on more of the coordination. People should remain responsible for the judgment.

This distinction matters. We do not believe the difficult parts of commercial insurance disappear because software gets better. Every business is different. Coverage terms, availability, and carrier appetite depend on the details of the risk. Good brokerage still requires context, careful review, and accountable people.

What can improve is everything around that judgment: how information is collected, how a submission is prepared, how work is tracked, how quickly the right person gets the right context, and how clearly a client understands what happens next.

What the seed round lets us keep doing

The new funding lets us keep investing in that foundation. We will continue improving the systems our brokers use, strengthening the service behind them, and learning from the businesses and insurance professionals who use Panta every day.

We are still early. There is a great deal we have not solved, and the work is rarely glamorous. That is exactly why we think it is worth doing.

Thank you to the clients who have trusted us with their businesses, the brokers and insurance professionals who have shared their experience, our team, and the people backing Panta. We are grateful to be building with you.

A note about coverage: Every risk is reviewed individually. Coverage terms, eligibility, availability, and carrier appetite vary by business, location, and insurer. Nothing in this announcement is a promise of coverage or a specific outcome.
